HOW TO BOOK:

Call DELTA call center 24/7 at  800.325.8847 (Delta's special UM department)

(remind the operator to waive the phone fee since you are not able to make the UM booking online)

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

Before you call have the following information at hand:

1. Full name of the minor(s) travelling

2. DOB and gender of the minor

3. Flight details you want to book (they will verify if the flight you selected is an eligible one for your child as well as price and availability).

4. Name, phone number and physical address of the person dropping the minor off.

5. Name, phone number and physical address of the person picking the minor up.

6. The credit card and billing address.

Note: for extra security you will be asked to create a four-digit PIN for your booking. 

No one will be able to make any changes to this booking without providing this PIN.

YOUR OPTIONS:

UM FEE: $150 each way

You may opt to prepay oneway or roundtrip UM fees during your booking (it will be a separate charge) or pay it later at check in. You can prepay the fee for the outbound flight and pay the return fee later or vica versa. A great option when two parties split the cost of child's travel.

Make sure you present you receipt of prepaid UM fee at the check in. We've seen cases when passangers were erroneosly charged that fee second time (if travel commences on a carrier other then Delta). You do get reimbursed if you call Delta though.

GUARDIANS

Only guardians specified in your booking will be allowed to drop off / pick up the minor upon showing their ID. You may request to change these persons by calling Delta with your confirmation number at least 24 hours prior to departure.

GRACE PERIOD

You have 24 hours from the moment of booking to cancel your reservation for the full refund (it takes a few days to get the actual fund back on your account though). After that the ticket becomes nonrefundable and nontransferable. The change fee is $200 plus/minus difference in fare on the date of change.
